I would like to ask for your advise on selling away my condo to purchase a resale flat. May I know if I can purchase a resale flat immediately after selling my condo?

Hi,

Yes you can purchase resale hdb straight away after selling your condo. In fact, if your finances are comfortable, you can purchase before selling. However, its better to sell first before buying as it takes time to secure a buyer.

You will be eligible for Proximity Housing Grant as long as the HDB you purchase is within 4km from your parents or your married child. There is no income requirement for Proximity Housing Grant.

You may purchase a resale flat immediately once you have secured a buyer for your condo unit. To ensure a smooth and seamless transition from your current place to a HDB, meticulous planning in terms of the timeline and finances are important to ensure that you will not be required to find an interim place to stay and have sufficient time for renovation of the HDB.

In fact, if you have the funds for the HDB flat purchase, you can even purchase it BEFORE you sell off your condo! You will only be required to sell off your condo within 6 months upon the approval of your HDB purchase.
